October 2022 saw the release of Angry Birds Transformers. The new Angry Birds game is based on the popular kids’ franchise of Angry Birds. Although this game was not developed by the original developers, it features the same charming gameplay and charming aesthetics. Transformers The Movie Angry Birds Transformers is a direct sequel to the hugely successful iPhone and iPad franchise of the same title. Following the events of the third film, Transformers – Revenge of the Fallen, a Transformer robot called Bumblebee has transformed into a monster robot to battle evil robots who threaten to destroy the world. Optimus Prime leads the Autobots in their fight against Bumblebee. The cartoon show became very popular amongst kids and adults alike and inspired a number of toys, games, and other products as well.
At the beginning of the series, Bumblebee transforms from an angry green menace to an all-new angry red hero. The Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen movie grossed $1.2 billion at the box office, making it the highest-grossing animated movie of all time. Though it was not a big hit with critics, it did receive critical acclaim for its unique and interesting story and visual style. Though the second movie didn’t have anywhere near the same amount of fanfare as the first, it still managed to score well with kids and adults. However, the overall sales for the Transformers franchise have been quite low compared to its first two installments.
Developers Sega and Nintendo made the decision to remove Angry Birds from the App Store due to the popularity of Angry Birds Transformers. They decided to do this because they thought that it would be a “fad” for the Wii U, the upcoming console that is manufactured by Nintendo. Though it didn’t make a huge amount of money, the iPhone and iPad versions of the game sold extremely well, proving that it is a popular game and that kids and adults are still into it. It is unknown why Sega and Nintendo decided to remove the Transformers Angry Birds from the App Store, but they have not responded to my inquiries about it. With that being said, it is a possibility that it will make a return at a later date, as there are many rumors and talks about it. With the huge success that The Transformers gave to the toy industry, the producers of Transformers are sure to give this game a run for its money once again. Who knows, maybe the legendary Hasbro corporation will get into the production of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen exclusively for the Wii U.
There is no word on whether the Transformers Angry Birds will feature the voice talents of Mark Wahlberg, who played the role of Optimus Prime in the movie series. Though Wahlberg is not known for his acting ability, he did co-star in the Transformers movie as the evil Bumblebee. No official word on the matter yet, but it is clear that Wahlberg and the late Michael Bay are very close and working on something for the next Transformers movie.
The Transformers Angry Birds theme park will be located in Valencia California on the West Coast. The story of the game revolves around the same plot as the original cartoon, wherein the Decepticons use an aircraft carrier to attack the humans on the Earth’s surface. The plot is that the military will be forced to launch an attack against the villains if they continue to target the human population. If you remember, the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen was a popular video game based on the theme park.
Whether it will be another Angry Birds video game or a full-fledged Transformers-themed game is still unknown, but it is clear that Transformers fans are very excited about this new adventure. As of now the only official word from Disney is that there are no concrete plans for future projects, but we can expect plenty more from Disney as the years go by. The original cartoon series has been on television for eleven seasons, so there is still hope for a fourth installment.
